Position Title:  Manufacturing Engineer        Reports To (Title):  Engineering ManagerDepartment:   Engineering__________________________________________________________________Basic Purpose and ObjectiveManufacturing Engineer will be responsible for continuous improvement projects such as router creation optimization, manufacturing and design guidelines related to drawings and product engineering, Lean Six Sigma, cost reduction programs, and plant layout recommendations as well as ensuring environmental compliance for the facility.  This person will also be responsible for making changes to current policies and procedures, involvement in safety initiatives, and providing reports. Other responsibilities include waste reduction projects.Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesImplement process controls.Analyze and isolate root causes of process issues, developing and implementing permanent solutions.Assist Manufacturing operators with troubleshooting and resolution of manufacturing problems.Production rate validationRouter cost validationEngineering validation checklist-drawings/routersProduct engineering interaction with manufacturing processes and router creationEducation RequiredCollege degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.Skills and Experience RequiredMinimum of five years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in the Aerospace and/or Fasteners industriesProject management experienceKnowledge of continuous improvement including Lean Six SigmaKnowledge of California environmental regulations and experience with compliance in a manufacturing facilityExperience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and/or Solidworks.   AUD Compton 90220
